TIM SHERWOOD has received pelters online for his criticism of Coventry only to be silenced by them scoring.
The Sky Sports pundit was covering the Championship clash against QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday only to be made a fool as the action unfolded.
With the home side on top of the game, Sherwood was speaking on Soccer Saturday when claiming that Coventry were not good enough to get promotion.
However, he was cut short by Josh Eccles scoring at the back post to give Frank Lampard‘s side the lead against the run of play.
Sherwood was made to look silly as Coventry momentarily moved themselves eight points clear of Hull in third.
Fans online were quick to point out Sherwood jinxing QPR, who had come close several times in the first half before conceding to their first shot faced.
One user on X wrote: “Tim Sherwood having a stinker trying to discredit Lampard and Coventry with them scoring instantly, beautiful”.
Another added: “Tim Sherwood with his finger on the pulse there!”
Sherwood, 56, had the last laugh as QPR came from behind to win.
Goals from Richard Kone and Nicolas Madsen completed the turnaround.
