HUNDREDS of thousands of fans will battle it out in what is bound to be an absolute frenzy in a bid to get tickets to Harry Styles’ summer tour this morning.
But I have some good news for anyone who doesn’t manage to clinch any – he has secretly pencilled in another two shows at Wembley Stadium, on top of the six he has already announced.
Ticketmaster bosses are braced for scenes reminiscent of the madness of last year’s Oasis tour as people fight to get their hands on presale tickets, ahead of the general sale on Friday.
However, the new shows, which I’m told will be announced this week, will mean Harry will equal the eight nights played at the venue by his ex Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in 2024.
Those concerts gave a massive boost to the economy and were even watched by Prince William, as well as his kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
After performing eight London shows for his Together, Together Tour, Harry will become the male artist to have played the venue the most on a single tour – leapfrogging the seven nights Michael Jackson did as part of his 1988 Bad Tour.
However, he will still be two shows behind Coldplay, who played a huge ten dates at Wembley last summer on their Music of the Spheres Tour.
Harry’s run of gigs mean some 720,000 fans will get to him perform in the capital this summer – but there is sure to be plenty of demand after he announced that London is the only UK city he will play in this year.
A source said: “Live Nation have huge confidence all six shows will sell out, and have already pencilled in two more at Wembley.
“The plan is to assess the demand this week then announce the extra dates due to ‘phenomenal demand’.”
Harry last played Wembley as part of his mammouth Love On Tour Tour, when he played six nights at the iconic venue across two years.
In a move sure to delight fans, his new stage will be twice as big as that of his previous tour, allowing him to get even closer to the crowd.
The tour is just about having fun together and being together
Harry Styles
Talking about returning to the stage, Harry said: “The tour is just about having fun together and being together.
“The feeling of me up here and you guys down there is a lot of what this album has been about trying to remove, I think.
“I want it to feel like l’m also here dancing with you – I’m here for the same thing that you’re here for.”
Last night, it was revealed Harry that is on course to land his third No1 single with Aperture – the first taste of his fourth album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
He landed his first solo No1 with his debut single Sign Of The Times in 2017, followed by As It Was, which was the lead single from his third album Harry’s House in 2022.
He’s one of the best performers in pop, so I’m ready and waiting for what is bound to be an incredible summer.
Rocker Rita’s aura
HEALTH-conscious Rita Ora isn’t the type to get leathered on a Saturday night any more.
But she still wore eye-catching gear, posing in this edgy outfit before taking to the stage for a concert in Austria.
Rita has been back in the studio recently and will release a new album later this year.
If this look is anything to go by, she’ll be ready to rock out with her next release.
JUST PULLING YOUR LEG, RAYE
RAYE has seen the funny side after I pointed out in Saturday’s paper that it looks like she only has one leg on the artwork for her second album, This Music May Contain Hope
She unveiled the cover last week but on it, it looks like one of her limbs is missing.
The Where Is My Husband! singer shared screenshots on TikTok of messages that she exchanged with her team, writing: “Oh no guys – everyone is saying why do I only have one leg on the artwork.”
But she’s found a way around it.
She joked that there is a “new narrative” after one fan suggested: “I think it may be intentional – metaphorical. She’s on her last leg but she’s still holding on to hope.”
Well done Raye, I think you’ve got away with that one.
Are you fur real, Anya?
ANYA TAYLOR-JOY goes fur a romantic stroll with her rocker husband Malcolm McRae during a break from Paris Fashion Week.
The Queen’s Gambit star was spotted in this fluffy brown coat on Saturday evening, after jetting into the French capital to attend swanky fashion shows.
Loads of familiar faces have been there this weekend, including Rihanna and Asap Rocky who also wrapped up when they were spotted out and about.
The rapper has been on the publicity trail to promote his album Don’t Be Dumb, but also let slip about his long-term girlfriend’s return to music.
Speaking about Riri, whose last album Anti came out a decade ago, he said: “She got some songs. She ain’t never gonna retire. What her next stuff is like… it’s probably not gonna be a reggae album.”
CRUZ BECKHAM has completed his debut album after landing a record deal with Republic Records/EMI.
The budding singer has been recording at Rak Studios in North London, where everyone from Ed Sheeran and Michael Jackson to Pink Floyd have laid down vocals.
He has also just announced a nationwide tour starting next month.
FINNEAS WISE TO KEEP MUM
WHICH nepo baby musician has been infuriating songwriters as their famous mum has been interfering?
Oscar-winner Finneas Eilish, who is the brother of chart queen Billie, said a musical pal was left frustrated by working with the youngster, but stopped short of naming them.
He said: “I have a friend who’s working with the son of a talented woman or man in music.
“And they come in and they’re, like, ‘My mum told me that we should rewrite that second verse’. And I’m always, like, ‘I’m gonna break a glass, dude’. That sucks. I hate that.”
But he said he’s all for nepo babies – as long as they work hard.
Referring to singer Gracie Abrams, whose dad is Star Wars director J. J. Abrams, he told the And The Writer Is . . . podcast: “I basically respect anybody busting their ass at anything.”
ALBUM IN 2 WEEKS? IN-ZAYN
ZAYN MALIK wrote his upcoming album in just two weeks after being inspired by performing his first tour.
He hit the road last year for the first string of shows since he was in One Direction, and it had such a profound impact that he went straight into the studio afterwards.
Speaking on stage at his Las Vegas residency, he explained: “I was thinking about the reactions on stage and the things that you guys were vibing out to when I was performing.
“So I went home and I wrote this whole record in, like, two weeks.
“So thanks for that – you guys inspired me to write this record. I’m not allowed to tell you the name yet.”
Zayn has already premiered one new single, called Die For Me, and is expected to drop the album in the coming months.
IT was a busy weekend for Olivia Wilde, who had two movies premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
She wore this black gown on Saturday to the launch of The Invite, for which she received a lengthy standing ovation.
And on Friday her upcoming flick I Want Your Sex was screened.
As the name suggests, things get steamy on screen.
She said: “This movie is an incredibly irreverent, playful take on showing this part of the sexual revolution of a young person.
“The whole idea is to try things – live your life, experiment, fall on your face and get back up.
“Sex is used as a metaphor for something that’s applicable to everybody’s experience.”
