RESIDENTS of Skipton in North Yorkshire have been left fuming after finding themselves unable to access their own homes due to filming of the new Harry Potter TV series.
The Sun understands that bosses of the upcoming HBO series have been forced to up security after previous sets were targeted by militant trans activists furious at author JK Rowling‘s stance on trans rights.
In a bid to stop anyone breaking into the set, residents of the usually sleepy Yorkshire town have to sign in against a register before being escorted by staff to their doors by crew members.
If staff are all busy then they have to wait till someone is available to escort them to their homes.
The Sun understands that while filming is only scheduled for two nights – last night and tonight bosses have been running test shots earlier this week.
As well as the loud building of extensive filming rigging, residents are also having to endure drones being flown over their properties for aerial shots.

Locals have begun taking to online forums to moan they have been given zero compensation for their street being taken over.
Yesterday trans activists vowed to cause more upset and disrupt filming.
Sharing the shoot’s production notes and maps online which are operating under the code name “Brown Cat”, one disgruntled user wrote: “Bring whistles and noisemakers.”
They hope to cause enough disruption that producers will have to spend thousands editing the sound to remove the protestors.
