HARRY MAGUIRE heaped praise on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and claims his former boss was “underappreciated” at Manchester United.
Solskjaer managed the Red Devils between 2018 and 2021, taking over from Jose Mourinho.

He oversaw back-to-back top three Premier League finishes, including claiming a runners-up spot in 2020-21.
United reached the final of the Europa League in the same season, losing to Villarreal on penalties.
Maguire, 32, was signed by Solskjaer in 2019 and he loved his time playing under the Norwegian, who he believes deserves more credit.
The defender told Discover+: “Ole was brilliant, I think Ole was so underappreciated.
“He never got the recognition for what he was doing. It felt like, again, it was at Manchester United, if he was doing it at any other club he would have had recognition.
“It felt like everyone was waiting for the moment to kick him down, and he never allowed it, he was a real good manager, a real good staff around him with Kieran and Carrick, a fantastic man-manager, he knew how to look after his team and his players.
“It felt like he never really got the recognition and it was a shame really.
“Ultimately that third season we didn’t do enough, the balance of the team wasn’t what we had the previous two years, but I can’t speak highly enough of Ole.”

Solskjaer was sacked by the Red Devils three months into his third season as boss, and failed to deliver silverware for the club.
He had a 54 per cent win ratio during his spell as manager but his side had begun to leak goals and were seventh in the table when he was dismissed.
Solskjaer was equally complimentary of Maguire in an interview earlier this year, where he revealed the defender was one of few players to contact him following his sacking.
He said: “For me, Harry [Maguire] has always been a leader and a fighter.
“I was never in doubt when I signed him and he walked in the door he would be captain for us.
“There is another captain there in Bruno [Fernandes]. The two of them are top human beings.
“Those two and Victor [Lindelof] are probably the only ones still at the club that I have heard from since I left. You want the best for them.”
