Britain was placed only behind Canada and Italy among G7 nations in the standings, the figures from the OECD for 2023 show.

The figures also show that France has an overall higher tax burden than the UK, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development reveals.

Meanwhile, the OECD also revealed that the UK’s property tax burden is the fourth worst out of 38 countries.
