FANS of Channel 4’s Handcuffed have been left baffled with the sudden appearance of a seemingly new couple in tonight’s episode.
Their lack of screen-time has quickly sparked complaints from viewers, who have slammed the show’s “awful editing”.
The new Channel 4 series is made up of 18 contestants competing to win £100,000.
Fronted by Jonathan Ross the experiment sees people from all walks of life shower and poop together – all while handcuffed.
They have to be handcuffed in pairs to a person who has completely opposing opinions, beliefs, lifestyles and habits.
The pairs stay in the handcuffs 24/7 in a new twist on the ultimate test of survival.
Pairs have included a man who films gay porn and a woman who admits she is a massive prude, a 79-year-old baronet and a retired former prison guard.
As well as body positive ultra-feminist who is cuffed to a gym-obsessed alpha male.
But with only five couples remaining, tonight’s episode left fans utterly confused as what appeared to be a brand new couple Angie and Morag showed up midway.
The couples were all sent on holiday this week to various locations in the UK as part of a brand new twist.
Taking to Great Yarmouth, Angie and Morag were shown disagreeing about food as they were forced to rely on the local corner shop for dinner.
But that wasn’t what caught the attention of viewers at home.
The pair have barely been shown throughout the series with viewers blaming the lack of screentime on the “awful editing”.
It had even left some fans wondering if they had missed an episode due to their sudden appearance, considering they are apart of the final five.
Taking to X to express their frustration, one user wrote: “The editing on this show is terrible. Why are we only seeing this pairing now? #handcuffed #handcuffedlastpairstanding”
Another replied: “So it’s not just me like ??? Who are these people?”
“Who are these two? Where did they come from? Have I missed an episode? #Handcuffed,” penned a third.
A fourth added: “Was just thinking the same….. #handcuffed”.
Tonight’s instalment was the penultimate episode which means the finale will be landing on Tuesday, March 17.
You can catch up on episodes of Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing on the Channel 4 streaming platform, which become available after airing.
