SICKENING new details in a child sexual assault case against an award-winning English teacher have been revealed, where she allegedly discussed sex positions and more with the 11 and 12-year-old.
Afina Simeonidis, 22, has been remanded in custody on allegations of “violent sexual assaults” against students from Gymnasium No. 74 in St Petersburg in Russia.
Russian media released messages relating to her alleged offending, where she is accused of referring to the children as “my husbands,” as well as saying she “repeatedly had sexual intercourse with [the] two schoolboys.”
The two boys are now both 12 years old; however, one of her alleged victims was 11 at the time the alleged offending occurred.
According to 78.ru, “there were also very explicit messages – discussing sex down to the positions”.
“According to our information, it did not stop at discussion”, the report said.
“A video recording has also been added to the case, in which the teacher discusses one boy’s genitals in derogatory terms.”
She has also been accused of allegedly luring the pupils into her home before performing vile sex acts on them to “satisfy her sexual needs”, according to prosecutors.
Investigators say one of the alleged victims went to a police station alone to file the complaint.
He alleged the sexual offences took place during extra tuition at the teacher’s flat.
Simeonidis has since denied the claims, saying that one of the two students had a crush on her, framing her when she rejected him.
She is currently in police custody; however, she may qualify for house arrest, pending further investigations.
A previous request for house arrest was turned down.
The teacher has been supported by fellow graduates from the elite Russian State Pedagogical University.
She was also the recipient of a presidential medal and certificate signed by Russian despot Vladimir Putin, for her contribution to the World Youth Festival in 2024.
Simeonidis’s mother said the children in her daughter’s class “trusted her”, and “shared their personal problems with her”.
She continued, saying it was a case of unrequited love from the two boys.
The investigation remains ongoing, as top Russian investigator Alexander Bastrykin demanded an urgent report on the criminal investigation.
Simeonidis could spend between 15 and 20 years behind bars if she is found guilty.
