GLENN BYRNE’s promoter has issued an update on the star’s health.
Byrne, 29, was rushed to hospital on Friday night after being brutally knocked out by opponent William Crolla.

The Irish boxing star was given oxygen and carried out of the ring on a stretcher.
Promoter JB Boxing Productions said on the way to the hospital that he had suffered a heavy concussion but would be okay.
And now they have once again taken to social media to give fans a more in-depth update.
They confirmed that Byrne was awake in hospital and staying positive after his ordeal.
They wrote: “Glenn is in good spirits, chatting, laughing and joking, just waiting (for the) results of CT scan.
“We would like to thank everyone for their messages of concern it means a lot.”
The shock ending came after Byrne seemed on the verge of taking a statement win in the Super Welterweight clash.
He knocked his opponent Crolla down four times in the bout, and it seemed a matter of time before he managed to keep him there.
But the Brit rallied to take the fight back to Byrne, and knocked him out in the seventh round with a brutal shot.
The 27-year-old celebrated instinctively, but would later apologise after admitting he was not aware of the extent of Byrne’s injuries.
He said after the fight: “My thoughts and condolences to Glenn Byrne.
“I hope he’s OK. I’m sorry I celebrated after it. I didn’t realise how badly he was hurt.
“I think we should all give Glenn Byrne a round of applause. He was a warrior in there tonight.”
