GLAMOROUS Sky Sports host Katharina Kleinfeldt made headlines on Saturday after suffering a howler of a blunder on TV.
But the cringe-inducing moment is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the fascinating life she leads.
Kleinfeldt, 34, is a presenter for Sky Sports in Germany, and was covering Saturday’s clash between Frankfurt and Werder Bremen when she made the slip up.
Following the match, which ended in a 4-1 victory for Frankfurt, Kleinfeldt appeared on camera ready to interview Bremen skipper Marco Friedl.
However, a shirt exchange made before the interview with ex-teammate Michael Zetterer meant he appeared in the shirt of his opponents.
Kleinfeldt mistakenly congratulated Friedl on his side’s victory, in response to which he awkwardly revealed he played for Bremen, and shrank away from his interviewer.
She admitted: “I’m really just… Marco, sorry. This is my fault.”
She doubled down on her apology after the incident, saying: “The situation is very unpleasant and annoying.
“I interviewed Marco before the match on the bus afterwards, I saw the Frankfurt jersey and for a moment I just… got it completely wrong.
“I hope Marco can smile about it after a few days.”
Kleinfeldt leads a busy life and will surely have enough on to take her mind off the incident.
Away from the pitch, she leads a glam lifestyle, which she shares with her 88 thousand Instagram followers.
The German spent the summer break away from football, notably covering this year’s Wimbledon tournament for Amazon Prime.
She shared a variety of ritzy snaps from her time at the event on her social media.
She is also reportedly dating Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl, 45.
