Girl, 15, dies after taking MDMA drug at home in coastal village

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has tragically died after taking MDMA at home as cops charge two teenagers.

Paramedics were called to a property in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, at around 12.30am on Saturday.

Emergency services responded to reports of a girl who had fallen ill at the house, in Hopton.

The teenager was rushed to James Paget Hospital but tragically died a short time later.

Norfolk Police arrested Kian Lockett and Nathan Laffitte, both aged 18, on Monday.

They were remanded in custody and today appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court.

Both are charged with supplying MDMA and being concerned in the supply of MDMA.

The defendants have been further remanded and are due to appear before Norwich Crown Court on February 25. 

A Home Office post mortem examination will also take place in due course.
