Fury as disgraced Andrew DISMISSED Epstein’s conviction for soliciting prostitution from a child in ‘callous’ messages

ANDREW Mountbatten-Windsor “callously” dismissed Jeffrey Epstein’s conviction for soliciting prostitution from a child.

Messages show the ex-Duke of York writing off Epstein’s convictions only six months after he was freed from jail.

In the email chain, Andrew praises financier Epstein and tells him he wished for a “clean resolution” while the financier was under house arrest in January 2010.

Andrew said: “Congratulations on getting your travel ban lifted and also understand new information now available on the whole issue and hope you get a clean resolution.”

Epstein was jailed for 13 months for two counts of soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008.

The deal meant he escaped federal charges, which would have seen him locked up for decades.

But he was still found to have paid underage women to give him sexual massages, including one as young as 14.

Epstein was eventually federally charged with sex trafficking in 2019, a month before his death by hanging in a New York prison.

Hundreds of emails between Andrew and Epstein previously revealed how the Royal had pledged to “pay homage to your new life ahead” after the paedo’s year of house arrest ended entirely in July 2010.

It meant he was able to travel back to his properties around the world, including Little Saint James Island.

Experts yesterday told The Sun how Andrew’s apparent dismissal of the conviction was “callous”.

Former head of royal protection Dai Davies fumed: “This is incredibly dismissive of victims. It’s a total slap in the face.

“The plea deal Epstein got was a wicked deal, because it should have been about 100 counts, not two, and Andrew’s characterisation of it shows a total lack of any moral compass.”
