TOWIE star Tommy Mallet has slammed the NHS in a furious rant as he claims they have stopped his life-changing medication.
The reality star suffers from ADHD and has previously had medication from the NHS to help manage the condition.
However, Tommy took to Instagram to share that when he asked doctors for his medication recently, he was told they couldn’t help him and he would need to go private, which comes with a £500 monthly price tag.
In a video, the angry star said: “What is the point of me working and paying tax in this country, in 2025?
“I’ve been on ADHD medication, supplied by the NHS, for years now. I have gone through a bit of a rocky road, so sometimes I have to go back on, it depends on how I’m feeling.
“I’ve gone back to them for this medication and they have told me that I now have to go private unless I start the whole process again which would take two years,” he explained.
Tommy continued: “Another way of the system trying to cut funding because there’s more people being diagnosed with it. So now, if I go through a downward spiral I can’t read and write and things like that.”
The star is married to former co-star Georgia Kousoulou and the couple share two children.
Explaining that he does opt for private services when it comes to his kids schooling and other medical issues, he said: “I’ve paid millions into the system.
“I don’t even send my kids into normal school, I pay for their school, I pay for all of my doctors appointments. I pay for all of my dentist, I pay for everything, yeah?
“And they’ve told me, ‘No’.”
Tommy said he went on to explain that he may, at times, need the medication to function, to which doctors responded, “Sorry I can’t help you”.
He then explained that, if he were to go private, it would cost £300 to speak to a doctor once a month on top of the £200 prescription fee.
“So the normal person who can’t afford it, has to suffer now every single day?” he asked.
