Fuming Tottenham fans told they must pay thousands THIS MONTH to keep season tickets

FURIOUS top-tier Spurs fans are up in arms after being told they must pay thousands of pounds by the end of the MONTH to keep their season tickets for next year – despite the looming threat of relegation.

Tottering Tottenham face the drop for the first time since 1977 with interim boss Igor Tudor already on the brink after FOUR STRAIGHT DEFEATS and fans are accusing the club of “taking us for mugs” by the price demand.

But just a day after the club gave most season ticket holders an extension until after the end of the season before they must stump up for next term, Spurs sent out invoices and payment deadlines to their high-rollers.

Supporters who bought the “Premium Experience” package agreed to a three-year contract.

Yet with no certainty over what division the club will be in next season, there was outrage from many when the bill and the imminent deadline dropped into their inboxes this week.

The email, sent out to all of the top category ticket holders, said: “On behalf of the Premium Experience Team and everyone here at Tottenham Hotspur, we should like to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible support throughout this season so far.

The price of a single seat in the area for the season is £5,150 including VAT, with Spurs offering seat holders the option of a finance deal of up to £25,000 to spread the cost of tickets over 10 months, with a package of up to £250,000 over 12 months for company box holder deals.

For that you get a “luxury padded seat” and “complimentary light handheld dishes, half-time drink and restaurant enhancement choices” plus “access to Club Legends” including the likes of Ledley King and Gary Mabbutt.

But the decision to push for the money now, with Spurs seemingly heading for the drop and without a Premier League win in 2026, sparked an angry backlash.

One fan told Sun Sport: “I simply cannot believe they are taking us for mugs like that – especially now.

“We’re used to this club being run badly but this is just a sad joke – and once again it’s at the expense of the fans.”

Another supporter said: “You couldn’t make it up – they simply don’t get it at all.

“I know we signed the contract for three years and that’s what the Spurs lawyers will probably say.

“But if we are not being offered the product we were promised – this was the club that was supposed to be challenging for the Premier League and European trophies, remember – isn’t that a breach of contract from Tottenham?”
