FESTIVE theatre-goers demanded refunds when a production of A Christmas Carol featured only a solitary actor.
Half the audience left at the interval as the £15-a-ticket performance was not advertised as a one-man show.

Families were led to expect a full cast playing characters including Scrooge, Bob Cratchit and the ghosts, and were dismayed to see only actor Jonathan Goodwin seated on stage narrating the story while dressed as Charles Dickens.
Joan Marriott wrote online: “I thought it was going to be a play.
“I’d never have gone to see a man talking.
“I have asked for a refund.”
Emma Sheree said: “We walked out, it wasn’t what was expected at all.”
Mickey Lee added: “Send an email.
“We got a full refund.”
The show was put on at The King’s Hall in Herne Bay, Kent, by the Don’t Go Into The Cellar! theatre company.
A spokesman said it had sent publicity material to the venue clearly stating the performance was a one-man show.
He said: “Somebody chose to rewrite the blurb entirely to make the production sound as though it had a cast of several performers.”
