But Pam, 75, who has hosted the Sunday religious show since the early 1980s, has still not had the items delivered — or her money back.

Every time she tried to get in touch with the store they ignored her.

Formerly called The Mobility Furniture Company, the retailer is now trading under a different name in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

Its online store has almost 200 one-star reviews — all with similar complaints to Pam’s.

Pam said: “Our furniture never arrived, and all enquiries got nowhere.

“Now I know we are just one example of many whose savings and sense of well-being were devastated by this company.

The firm admitted some orders were late but said customers were refunded.

Another victim, Sue Meaker, 61, who tried to buy a bed for her 91-year-old mum is still waiting for a refund for a bed purchased in June for £4,414.

A delivery attempt was made in August – but it was the wrong bed, so it was sent back and even after lots of chasing Sue’s mum still has not had the money back.

She said: “I am not a sob story, I am able to advocate for my mother, but there are people out there who don’t have that.
