SNOOKER heads to China this week for the World Open, and a huge cash prize is up for grabs!
The marquee ranking event marks the third last tournament of the snooker season.


John Higgins won the tournament last season, beating Joe O’Connor 10-6 in the final.
He hasn’t been in many events this season, but Ronnie O’Sullivan will be competing in Yushan this week as he eyes a 42nd ranking title.
World No1 Judd Trump is also back in action this week – The Ace in the Pack won this tournament in 2019 and 2024.
Reigning world champion Zhao Xintong is also eyeing glory as the Chinese superstar returns to his home nation, where he won the World Grand Prix the last time out in Asia.
When is the World Open?
- The World Open will run from Monday, March 16 until Sunday, March 22.
- The event will be held at the Yushan Sports Centre in Yushan, China.
