JOACHIM ANDERSEN suffered a painful injury after dislocating his finger during the first half against Nottingham Forest.
The Fulham defender, called for play to be stopped in the 24th minute after a tangle with Brazilian striker Igor Jesus.
TV pictures showed that a finger on the Dane’s left hand had been forced out of place and medics were called on.
Jesus apologised and stood over the Fulham man while he was treated.
Andersen, 29, had his finger taped up and carried on playing a couple of minutes later as Fulham fans applauded.
But that was only after the Cottagers’ medical staff popped his digit back into place – which led to some in the crowd wincing.
Seb Hutchinson, on commentary for Sky Sports, suggested that Andersen refused to even look at his finger when the physios were attending to the injury.
The centre-back is enjoying his second spell with Fulham, having rejoined the West Londoners last year.
Andersen’s return came after he headed to Crystal Palace in a £17million deal following a loan spell at Craven Cottage in 2021.
