YOU often have to take a chance in business – but coming up with names such as Bitchface Training Company, Bloody Noora Ltd and Willys Bottles is pushing it.
Those efforts to stand out from the crowd have got the red card — along with Hypno Bimbo Sluts Ltd, Phat Bastrd Burger and Take Your Sh!t To The Next Level Ltd.
They were among 464 risque business names vetoed in 2025 after they were ruled too rude to appear on the official Companies House register.
And other ambitious suggestions ruled out by officials included Drone Strike Financing Company, Con Artists Limited and Meth Express.
An entrepreneur who tried to take on Starbucks and Costa with a cafe called Flat White Or Fck Off Limited was also stopped in their tracks.
Drug-related names blocked included Cannabis Investment Corporation, Crack Cookies Ltd and Ketamine Education Services.
Officials also had a downer on Ganja Ltd, the Meow Meow Cafe and UK LSD Ltd.
More would-be company names that raised red flags were Mafia Ltd, Swastika Properties and Isis Guerrero Ltd. Cheeky or crude titles such as Ass Tasty Buns Ltd, Cocks Catering Ltd, Quick N Dirty Ltd, Anuservices Ltd and Taking The Piss Ltd also failed to make the grade.
More oddball business names deemed unsuitable for the register were Stan And The Floozy Ltd, The Fat Tart Ltd, Smellyballs Ltd and The Old Bastard Gin Company.
Companies House has strict rules designed to stop names that could cause concern or imply criminal activity.
Its test is whether a “reasonable person would take offence”.
Every year, hundreds of hopeful founders fall foul of the restrictions when their chosen name is ruled unacceptable.
In previous years, officials have said no to names such as Bell End Motor Company Ltd, Phat Phuc Noodle Bar, Sticky Dicks Pub Company Ltd and Milfclub Underwear Ltd.
A Companies House spokesman said: “We have a statutory responsibility to ensure that the names we register do not have the potential to offend.
“All applications are carefully considered, but we will not register one where the name as a whole is considered offensive.”
