Fresh heartbreak for widower Jack Tweed as he reveals he’s lost a baby with partner Ellis Sargeant – and admits he doesn’t know if he’ll ever be ready to marry again after Jade Goody’s death

Jack Tweed has revealed he tragically lost a baby with his girlfriend Ellis Sargeant, sparking a fresh wave of grief 15 years on from the death of his wife Jade Goody

The TV personality, 38, started dating beautician Ellis, 31, in 2022, with the couple going from strength to strength after being introduced by mutual friends.

Last year, the pair excitedly revealed they were set to become parents after Ellis unexpectedly fell pregnant, yet Jack has now revealed that the jubilation soon turned to heartbreak when Ellis suffered a miscarriage.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jack shared his devastation at the loss, saying: ‘Unfortunately, she lost the baby and we haven’t spoken about having more children since then.

‘It wasn’t nice, especially for her, and it’s just awkward [to discuss children] now.’

While understandably the couple are taking time to process the loss, Jack confessed that he would like to have a child in the future.

Detailing his strong bond with Ellis, he shared: ‘We’re really good. We just get on,

I think we’ve only had one mini-argument in the space of three years… I think it’s because I’m so laid back’, he laughed.

Discussing how he envisions their future, he continued: ‘I would like to have kids, but I just don’t know about marriage.

‘Sometimes I do feel I want too but then other times I feel like I’m a bit guilty. I know it’s been a long time [since Jade’s death] but…’

Jack first tied the knot in a very emotional wedding ceremony with Jade in February 2009 – a month before she died from cervical cancer.

He had grown close to her sons Bobby and Freddy, who were just four and five at the time of Jade’s death, and while he was initially banned from seeing them by their biological father Jeff Brazier, he now has a good bond with the pair.

Freddy, 20, is now expecting a child of his own, and Jack said that Jade would have been pleased to see her son happy.

‘When the news came out, I was thinking – Jade would be a grandma – would I be a step-granddad? I’d rather not have that title [so young]’, he laughed.

Freddy endured challenging teenage years, revealing last month that he got hooked on cannabis at just 12 years old, but he is now determined to turn his life around after his model ex-girlfriend fell pregnant.

While many expressed their concern over Freddy becoming a father at such a young age, Jack insisted that it will be the making of him.

Noting that he was just 19 when he first met Jade and helped raise Freddy and Bobby, he mused: ‘I’m pleased for him.

‘It was a surprise for him, but I’m hoping – along with everyone else – that it might do him the world of good.  It makes you grow up. I was younger than Freddy is now when I met Jade!

‘I know after Jade went away, I went down a wrong path… but at the beginning, it does really make you grow up and shows you what really matters in life – not those doughnuts that he’s been hanging about with.’

It’s been a turbulent time for Freddy, who revealed in March that he struggles with both bipolar and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

He recently revealed that he was sectioned during his mental health struggles and claimed grandmother Jackiey Budden got him hooked on drugs aged just 12.

The TV personality was also embroiled in a feud with Jeff, who attempted to cut off his contact with Jackiey.

Now he is expecting to welcome a child with his ex-girlfriend, whom he split from acrimoniously following a string of rows – which even saw the pair make allegations to the police.

Jack could be a role model to Freddy, leaning on his experiences of going off the rails following Jade’s death.

One month after her death, Jack was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for assault, and admitted he turned to alcohol to cope after being left broke and banned from seeing Jade’s two sons by their father.

Now, he has turned his back on his party lifestyle, retreating from the public eye and making a honest living as an electrician.

‘I don’t really go out and have a drink that much anymore,’ he explained. ‘It would only be if it’s someone’s birthday then I’ll go out.

‘I’m not sober but I I very rarely drink because the hangovers last about five days now!’

While Jack isn’t into the celebrity party scene, he revealed he still keeps in touch with his TOWIE pals James Argent and Elliott Wright, recently jetting to Marbella for a reunion.

He was once incredibly close to Mark Wright, but their friendship suddenly seemed to fizzle out – with reports that Mark was to blame

While they still remain distance, Jack insisted: ‘I’ve not fallen out of him, we went on different sort of paths.

‘He was in TOWIE at the time and I think people close to him said to not be seen with me – for his image.

‘We were living together! And then we sort of drifted apart, but I don’t blame him.’
