MAKE Bonfire Night go with a bang by cooking up a tasty budget feast.
At this time of year, low-cost dishes come into their own, with jacket spuds and sausages being the stars of the show.
But you can make them go even further with these easy ideas . . .
GET YOUR JACKET: A baked potato is classic Bonfire Night fare, and costs just a few pence to buy.
You can add a budget topping such as cheese, beans or chilli to give all the family a warm and satisfying feeling.
The cheapest way to cook them is in the microwave, but you can finish them off in an air fryer or oven for a crispy skin.

CHOC STARS: A steaming cup of hot chocolate is a must for Guy Fawkes Night. Instead of paying around £3 for a cup at a fireworks display, make up a flask at home and take it with you, along with individual cups.
Prefer to wait until you all get home? Make it extra-special by setting up a hot-chocolate station — with marsh- mallows, whipped cream and sprinkles.
SLOW AND LOW: Cook up a warming dish in your slow cooker, to tuck into when you get home from the fireworks display.
It costs pennies to run and you can use cheaper cuts of meat, which love being cooked for a long time on a low temperature.
You could make pulled shoulder of pork, cooked with two teaspoons each of smoked paprika, ground cumin and brown sugar, plus two mugfuls of cider and a slug of barbecue sauce.
A slow-cooked sausage casserole is also a winter winner, cooked with tomatoes, stock and vegetables.
MELTING MOMENTS: The chocolatey, marshmallow mess of s’mores is always an unmissable Bonfire Night sparkler — and making them is a cinch.
Place a pair of biscuits with a chocolate topping, such as Bahlsen Leibniz, on a plate with the chocolate side up.
Melt a handful of mini-marshmallows in the microwave and spread goo over one of the biscuits, before sandwiching with the other biscuit.
But for a bit of extra decadence, drizzle with some melted chocolate.
