FORMER Arsenal star Jill Roord and her Olympian girlfriend Pien Sanders have posed for a raunchy photoshoot together.
The couple have been dating for nine months but came under fire for how their romance started.
The lovers were both seeing other people when they first met with Roord in a two-year relationship with Spain ace Jana Fernandez.
Olympic hockey ace Sanders, 27, however, was in a ten-year-long partnership with hockey star Thijs van Dam.
Roord and Sanders have now declared their love for each other with an intimate photoshoot with outlet Linda Meiden.
The pair cosied up together for a number of pictures with one showing Sanders sitting on Roord’s lap.
Another raunchy snap showed Sanders kneeling down with just Roord’s legs on show.
Roord, 28, could be seen wearing her pants, which included a message reading “I love my girlfriend”.
The “love” was symbolised with a red heart emoji.
One more picture showed the lovers sharing a snob while wearing matching red outfits.
Sanders also revealed how the two found a spark by messaging each other.
She told the outlet: “‘We felt a connection through the screen.
“I felt bad about myself.
“I’m incredibly loyal. “F***”, I thought, ‘I don’t want to feel what I’m feeling inside right now’. I slept poorly because of it.”
The two eventually met up in person and started to hit it off romantically.
Sanders has also admitted that she can see why some people are sceptical about their relationship.
She added: “People respected my struggles: was I gay?
“For others, it was hard to see that I could instantly fall in love with someone else, and I understand that completely.
Roord said: “We both made a decision that would come as a shock to others, and we were aware of that.
“But in the end, you have to live with yourself until you’re eighty, and then the most important thing is that you’re happy.”
Roord is now playing her football back in her homeland with FC Twente while Sanders plays hockey for Den Bosch.
