But while luxury scents often come with huge price tags, there are some great dupes available at much lower prices.

It has notes of pink pepper, clove and orange flower and is supposed to conjure up memories of an evening by a roaring fire.

ROSY HUE: For a luxurious feel, Tom Ford Café Rose EDP 50ml, has become a cult autumn favourite for its floral rose scent with a twist of dark coffee.

Instead, try M&S Apothecary Restful EDP 50ml, for a much more purse-friendly £12.
CRACK THE CODE: For men, Armani Code by Giorgio Armani EDT 30ml, RRP £69, is a fave with oriental woody notes.
But B&M has a great range of budget designer-inspired fragrances — the Scent Favourites Magic Code Prive EDT 100ml, has notes of smooth leather, warm tonka bean, and smoky tobacco and comes in at a very affordable £3.99.
WATER GOOD IDEA: The popular Byredo fragrances, such as Gypsy Water EDP 50ml, come with a hefty price tag of £150 a bottle.

The new Lacura Elara Pour Femme EDP 100ml is just £6.99, which is just a fraction of the celebrity price tag.
