ONE former Manchester United striker cried when he left Old Trafford – but is now worth BILLIONS since launching a wildly successful app.
The star, who played for six different Premier League clubs has described the pain of missing out on the 2008 Champions League final.
He has since seen his wealth rise to over £4BILLION after launching AxisStars, an app which connects “professional athletes and entertainers, their peers and trusted partners,” according to the website.
The company, described as a ‘social network for athletes, reportedly has more than 500 users.
Louis Saha, now 47, was brought to Manchester United from Fulham in January 2004 by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The striker scored 28 goals in 86 appearances for United, in a spell which was defined by injury woes.
His first setback came in September 2004, as a knee injury ruled him out on multiple occasions throughout the season.
Groin and hamstring strains disrupted Saha’s career further, before his knee problem returned in 200-/08.
Saha has spoken about his negative experiences leading up to the 2008 Champions League final, which led to his exit.
He said: “It was the worst.

“It took me four or five years to realise how painful it was, when I wrote my book, because when I finally tried to explain how it felt, I realised how much damage it did to my confidence.
“It was after missing that final that I talked to the manager and said, ‘I need to leave.’”

After United, Saha moved on to Everton, Tottenham, Sunderland and Lazio before hanging up his boots in 2013.
The AxisStars website states: “Since hanging up his boots, Louis has moved into the world of business where he has used his experience to develop propositions to support athletes and other people in the public eye, in their careers.”
