The voiceover then explains to viewers: ‘Danielle believes her methods can give Zac the confidence he needs…’
‘But it’s not like any therapy he may have seen before.’
The sexologist then sits herself down next to Zac and tells him: ‘I’m just going to kiss you gently.
‘I want you to see if you can like really take it in.’
She smooches Zac on his cheeks, neck and then asks him: ‘How does that feel?’
Zac giggles back: ‘Good.’
An excited Danielle shouts out: ‘Now I start to feel the arousal! Oh my god. This is so sexy.’
The voice over explains: ‘Her hands on technique works by giving Zac a physical experience. A form of somatic or touch therapy.’

Danielle explains: ‘Somatic therapy believes that just talking with someone is just not sufficient.
‘We really need to help people through the body in order to create some sort of change.’
At the end of the session the pair thank each other and Zac says: ‘Nobody has ever said that I am sexy! No one.
‘I have a feeling.. fuzzy. All over.
‘In that session alone I’ve done things that I’ve been craving a long time.
‘I’m making tonnes of progress.’
Speaking about why he decided to apply for Virgin Island, Zac said: ‘I first heard about the casting on social media there was a man reporting that Channel 4 was looking for adult virgins to take part in an experimental TV show.
‘This was of course describing me, ha ha.
‘At first I was like – no way, I’m not gonna do that, but I started to think about it more and more, and I realised that I wasn’t really getting anywhere by myself, time was just passing me by with no real positive change.’

Despite being so positive, he did find it difficult at times.
He added: ‘The course was challenging at times for me.
‘I realised that I needed to learn a lot more about myself, but during it I remember always feeling and thinking `what’s next?
‘How am I going to push my boundaries further?
‘Seeing myself develop and those around me develop filled me with great joy. This helped me greatly when things were at their hardest and most difficult.’
