Felicity Jones oozed glamour as she lit up the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film, Train Dreams, during the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday.

The English actress, 41, who stars as Gladys Grainier in the upcoming drama, turned heads in a chic red floor-length gown as she arrived at the glitzy event.

Her eye-catching ensemble featured a structured neckline, racy, low-cut sides and a figure-flattering silhouette complete with a dramatic cape train.

Letting the dress do most of the talking, Felicity kept her accessories minimal, pairing the look with sparkling diamond drop earrings.

She wore her brunette locks swept back into a sleek bun as she posed confidently for the cameras.

The Theory of Everything star was joined on the red carpet by co-star Kerry Condon, 42, who looked effortlessly chic in a sheer nude turtleneck top paired with a black figure-hugging maxi skirt.

Train Dreams is a 2025 American drama directed by Clint Bentley and written by Bentley and Greg Kwedar, based on Denis Johnson’s 2011 novel of the same name.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Joel Edgerton, Clifton Collins Jr, Kerry, William H. Macy, and Felicity herself.

It’s slated for a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on November 7, followed by a global release on Netflix on November 21.

A synopsis for the film reads: ‘A story about Robert Grainier, a day labourer employed as a logger helping to expand the railways across America.

‘Forced to spend prolonged periods of time away from his wife, Gladys, and their young daughter, Grainier struggles to make sense of his place in a rapidly changing world.

‘As his story unfolds, he experiences great love, unspeakable loss and unique bonds, on a journey that is both distinct and universal.’

Felicity’s red carpet appearance comes after she discussed ‘pushing back on expectations’ and gender imbalance in the film industry as she posed on the cover of Marie Claire last year.

In the accompanying interview with the magazine, Felicity, who recently started her own production company, said: ‘There are always expectations about how one should be and it’s about pushing back on those.’

After rising to fame in 2011’s Like Crazy, she recalled the ‘profound gender imbalance’ during her early career, likening it to ‘walking onto a building site.’

Felicity added: ‘Young actresses could get easily pigeonholed. There would often be descriptions relating to appearance rather than character in scripts, but I have noticed people are more conscious of that.’

She continued: ‘Female directors need to have the funds to make films. But it’s been an extraordinary shift.’

The actress has starred in several successful movies, including the historical drama, The Brutalist, which was released in January of this year.

The actress was nominated for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar at the 97th Academy Awards for her performance in the film.
