REALITY star Jamie Laing has caused a stir amongst fans as he presented The Boat Race.
Several viewers took to social media to criticise the TV personality for the questions he was asking in interviews.
Channel 4 recently recruited Laing for their coverage in order to attract new audiences.
But the decision might have backfired with fans voicing their opinions on X.
One wrote: “Someone should tell Jamie Laing he’s allowed to ask other questions than ‘How are you feeling?’ and ‘How proud are you?’ #BoatRace”.
While another said: “Jamie Laing is ridiculous. He simply asks everyone in the #boatrace how are you feeling?”
The Made In Chelsea star has come under fire for asking the same questions to everyone in his post-race interviews.
Oxford famously recorded their first win in 10 years in the women’s race.
His first question was “how are you feeling”, which became a go-to for the presenter.
Meanwhile Cambridge secured their seventh win in eight years in the men’s instalment of the event.
Laing proceeded to also ask how the men were feeling after the race.
The criticism for Laing came just moments after he was forced to apologise as Victorious Oxford cox Louis Corrigan bellowed “What a f***ing awesome day!”
A turbulent day for the TV star who has been a talking point for fans across the country.

One fan was also critical of Channel 4’s coverage in general.
They said: “No background or stats. No mention of the results for the reserve boats either.
“Shame, as I usually really enjoy The Boat Race.”
And finally added: “(I’ve had to mute Jamie Laing…)”
