FORMULA ONE have made a big broadcasting change relating to drivers’ Wags.
A big change came into effect at the United States grand prix in Austin last week.
F1 moved away from showing celebrities and wags on screens following a complaint.
Williams star Carlos Sainz claimed there was a “lack of respect” shown for the drivers from F1’s coverage.
He said: “I think you have to show more respect for the competition on the track.
“I had four or five overtaking maneuvers in Singapore, and they didn’t show any of them.
“They also didn’t show Fernando Alonso chasing Lewis Hamilton on the last lap.
“In my opinion, they’re starting to overdo it a bit these days with showing celebrities and the drivers’ girlfriends.”
F1 responded with a statement that underlined their commitment to showing the best of the action.
And they stayed true to their word last week by not showing a single wife or girlfriend of the drivers.

And musician Shaboozey, who also waved the checkered flag, was the only celeb to feature.
The F1 statement read: “Our focus is always on providing fans with the best possible images of the race.
“There are no compromises when it comes to the most important aspect – what’s happening on the track.
“Our team does a great job of showing complex situations with different cars in different positions, and putting them into the context of the reactions in the stands, from important guests, and the surroundings of the venue.”
