FORMULA ONE is set to get one of its most unique new viewing points this year with the addition of a lifelike trackside yacht club.
The new addition will feature at the Miami Grand Prix in May, in partnership with MSC Cruises, who are looking to bring their hospitality experience to race day.
The structure is set to be built on the inside of turns five to nine, and is designed to offer a cruise experience on land.
The “yacht” will stand at 264ft in length, have a width of 96ft and will be 50ft tall at its highest point.
That includes 32,000 square feet spread across five decks, with each set to offer “different experiences” for guests.
Among the amenities included on board are a cocktail bar, a French restaurant and even a swimming pool.
Guests also have the option of heading to the “captain’s deck” for panoramic views of the track, or booking themselves a private spot in one of nine exclusive cabanas.
The yacht club comes as the latest nautical addition to the glamorous race, which has had a fake marina next to the track since its inaugural event at the 2022 edition.
Miami GP President Katharina Nowak highlighted the marina area in a statement announcing the new yacht club, stating the new addition adds to the unique energy of the event.
She said: “In creating the MSC Yacht Club, we wanted to elevate that iconic space by providing something even more immersive, refined and connected to racing.
