AN ex-Dreamboys stripper was seen “laughing and joking” with his girlfriend hours before allegedly shooting her dead.
George Goodayle, 47, went to police last Monday saying he had accidentally killed Jayne Nicholson, 49.
Shocked neighbours said: “They were always friendly, and very popular.
“They often had us round for drinks and a meal, and were clearly deeply in love.
Others said: “We saw them over the weekend of the shooting laughing and joking — they didn’t seem to have a care in the world.
“They had just been on a short holiday, and seemed to be part of a proper love story, and were looking forward to the future together”.

Police found Jayne’s body at the home they shared in Les Champs, south-west France.
She had opened a bar there but had to shut it as the property was registered as agricultural land.
Goodayle, of Peterborough, managed a construction company in England remotely.
He is accused of spousal murder and remained in custody yesterday.
