Faes joins Monaco… and Dier is reluctant to leave
Leicester City defender Wout Faes has joined AS Monaco on loan for the remainder of the season.
As Daily Mail Sport reported, the 27-year-old made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes during the first half of the season but had been left out of late as they looked for buyers.
Faes cost Leicester £15m from Stade Reims in the summer of 2022 ago and is one of the club’s biggest earners with 18 months left on his current contract.
West Ham had asked about Monaco’s Eric Dier but it’s understood the ex-England centre back is reluctant to leave the Principality.

Villa’s Malen waiting on Roma loan deal
Earlier today we brought you news that Donyell Malen is wanted by Roma and Daily Mail Sport’s Tom Collomosse reports that the Aston Villa winger is now waiting for the Serie A side to finalise their swoop for Marseille forward Robinio Vaz before he completes his own move.
Malen will be allowed to leave Villa to give Unai Emery the chance to bring in another forward and Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini is an admirer of the Dutchman.
Villa remain desperate to strengthen in midfield and attack and had also looked at Vaz, 18, who now appears destined for the Italian capital in a £25m move.
The move for Malen would include an option to buy for £21million. Villa bought Malen, 26, from Borussia Dortmund for a similar figure last year.
Roma and Villa have still to determine the future of Leon Bailey. The winger joined Roma last summer on a season-long but is no longer wanted by Gasperini, who would be willing to cut short the deal.
The clubs are also expected to discuss striker Tammy Abraham who is a target for Villa but is on loan at Besiktas who have an option to buy.

RB Leipzig steal march on Premier League giants
RB Leipzig are finalising a £4.5m deal for winger Suleiman Sani from Trencin as they brace themselves for offers for Yan Diomande.
Manchester City, Brentford and Spurs had shown varying interest in 19-year-old Sani who is a Nigeria U20 international.
Like Diomande, he is predominantly a left winger and his signing is a nod towards Leipzig preparing for the future.
Diomande has spoken of his desire to one day play for Liverpool while Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Manchester United are confirmed admirers. Leipzig have been insisting he won’t leave this month unless it’s a substantial fee of around £70million, but they know that won’t necessarily deter English suitors if they become more desperate to add attacking talent.
