England U20 keeper Finlay Herrick given mother of all debuts as he comes on for West Ham penalty shootout vs Leeds

WEST HAM were forced to make a goalkeeper change just five minutes before heading to penalties against Leeds in the FA Cup.

No1 Alphonse Areola went down after a cross sailed over his head in extra time and left Finlay Herrick to make his senior debut.

Herrick, 20, is an England Under-20 international but had only previously been on the bench for West Ham’s first team four times this season.

He spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Boreham Wood in the National League for Boreham Wood.
