Emmerdale has announced a huge TV star who has appeared in Shameless, Slow Horses and The Bay is set to join the ITV soap.
Actor Chris Coghill, 50, will appear on our screens as a mysterious man called Kev.
The new character is due to arrive at Emmerdale village this week after asking the residents for directions.
But it has not been shared how long he will appear on the show for.
Speaking about his upcoming role in the show, Chris said: ‘I am really happy to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.
‘Kev is definitely going to shake things up a bit and I’m looking forward to getting cracking!’

Meanwhile Emmerdale’s producer Laura Shaw added: ‘We are delighted that someone of Chris’ calibre has joined our cast.
‘I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this Autumn.
‘Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it’s safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.’
Chris shot to fame in the late 90s and has appeared in number TV shows and films.
In 1999 he appeared in Cold Feet as Zac, which was then followed by a role in Heartbeat in 2001.
After that, he starred in Holby City, Doctors and Burn it, before starring as Craig Garland in Shameless between 2005 and 2006.
In 2006 he also played Matt Finley in The Bill and Dan Edwards in Hotel Babylon back in 2007.
Chris played Shaun in Waterloo Road in 2007 and Mark Sturridge in Doctors the following year.

Between 2008 and 2009 he starred in EastEnders as Toni King and was a series regular.
Some of his other credentials include Silent Witness, Endeavour, Line of Duty, Casualty and Slow Horses.
Most recently he was Alex Kirby in ITV’s The Bay.
Chris also has some pretty impressive film credentials, including roles in The Banker, Freedom Day, Weekender and Spike Island.
Craig’s arrival isn’t the only exciting news for the soap.
Last month it was revealed that an Emmerdale icon is ‘set for a shock return to the Dales after years away from the soap.
According to The Sun, actress Samantha Giles, 53, is set to return to the ITV soap after two years off-screen.
However, fans will reportedly have to savour every moment of her scenes, as her return is expected to be brief.
Samantha’s character Bernice is said to be back in the Dales for Gabby and Vinny’s wedding, with filming due to start in a couple of weeks.
A source told the publication: ‘Everything is being kept very hush-hush but of course, Bernice’s return is a big deal as one of the soap’s most loved characters.
‘And Samantha being back among the cast is a real win too, as everyone loves working with her.’
