- The star was forced to hide behind the umpire’s chair and left in tears in Dubai
The man who was handed a restraining order this year for stalking Emma Raducanu at the Dubai Open has reportedly been caught applying for ticket’s to this month’s Wimbledon.
The British No1 was left in tears during her second-round match against Karolina Muchova after spotting the man in the stands.
The man had been displaying ‘fixated behaviour’ and had handed Raducanu a letter and asked for a photo earlier that week.
A former member of Raducanu’s coaching team also revealed that the man had been following the 22-year-old to a number of events in the wake of the Australian Open before he was ejected from the Gulf State tournament.
The man’s name was then circulated to tournament organisers across the WTA tennis circuit.
But as per the BBC, his name was flagged by the All England Club’s security system indicating that he had attempted to gain entry to the Championships via the public ballot.
