ROTHERHAM UNITED’S New York Stadium has remarkably been put up on property market website Rightmove mid-season.
The £20million home of the League One club was uploaded onto the site as they look to fill a commercial unit at the venue.

Fortunately for Rotherham fans, it’s only the listed “two-storey commercial unit” that is available to rent, and not the entire 12,000-seat stadium.
The Millers, who are battling relegation in League One this season, have already agreed a monthly rental fee of £5,000 for the empty space.
Rightmove‘s advert for the unit read: “The New York Community Stadium has become an iconic landmark development scheme within both Rotherham and South Yorkshire.
“The Community Stadium scheme provides not only sporting facilities and a capacity for approximately 12,000 supporters, but also provides for a further 30,000 sq.ft (2,787.09 sq.m) of commercial accommodation which is capable of being utilised for a range of purposes including retail, leisure, office and medical.
“Of the commercial accommodation, approximately 15,500 sqft of accommodation has been let.
“The remaining vacant units are at ground floor level and are suitable for a range of business and leisure purposes.”
Should everything go through, the rental could land the club up to £60,000 per year.
However, Rotherham themselves rent the stadium from R U Estates Limited, a company owned by club chairman Tony Stewart’s family, which could mean they don’t see any of the cash earned through the unit.

It appears the Yorkshire club are having more success on the property market than they are on the pitch.
Matt Hamshaw’s side currently sit 22nd in League One, five points off escaping the relegation zone.
They are on the worst run of form in the division too, losing all of their last six games.
