Ebanie Bridges announces boxing return in first fight since her son’s birth after teaming up with Jake Paul

EBANIE BRIDGES has announced her boxing return – fighting for the first time since the birth of her son.

The former IBF bantamweight world champion has been out of the ring since December 2023 after losing the title to Miyo Yoshida.

This February, Bridges announced the birth of her son Ezerra Ray, whom she shares with former welterweight champ Kell Brook.

The Aussie also signed a promotional deal with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions in July.

And she will make her boxing return on January 3  against Alexis Araiza – who has a record of three wins, two losses and one draw.

The bout – in Puerto Rico – falls on the undercard of Amanda Serrano’s rematch with Erika Cruz – who she beat on points in 2023.

Bridges, 39, said: “I’m excited to be getting back in the ring after some time out and even more excited to have my gorgeous son ringside.

“He’s a whole new level of motivation for me. I can’t wait to do what I do best: entertain, put on a show, and deliver an exciting fight.

“Puerto Ricans are known for their heart, pride, and aggression, and those qualities are in my fundamentals.

“I think they’re going to love the Blonde Bomber.”

Paul – who fights Anthony Joshua on December 19 – said in a statement with MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian: “This card has grown into one of the deepest and most meaningful fight nights we’ve produced and we are proud to deliver it to Puerto Rico.

“Amanda Serrano will put on a show for her island as she leads an incredible card with 13 fights, featuring the best of women’s boxing and fifteen Puerto Rican fighters.

“Fans in San Juan and around the world are going to witness something special on Saturday, January 3rd, live on DAZN.”

Also featuring on the bill is UFC legend and former boxing champ Holly Holm who challenges Stephanie Han for the WBA lightweight title.
