EastEnders’ Michelle Collins sparks concern as she’s seen using crutches after A&E dash following nasty fall

EASTENDERS star Michelle Collins has sparked concern after sharing she had been rushed to hospital.

The actress – who plays Cindy Beale in the BBC soap – was full of praise for the NHS for her speedy treatment but admitted she will be off her feet for a while.

Michelle suffered a fall when she tried to stop her beloved dog Peggy from running out of the door while they enjoyed a visit with friends in Norfolk.

Posting concerning pictures of herself on crutches and with a knee brace on Instagram, she said: “#thanks #thequeenelizabethhospital @nhsnwccg @kingslynntown #norfolk .

“Fell over trying to stop Peggy bolting out the door  while staying with friends in Norfolk bashed my knee, cuts and bruises. 

“Staff were great , #efficient #kind despite apparently very low on hospital league table I would never have known from the service I got.

“Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this not great for morale as one of the lovely nurses said.

The dog-related accident was made all the worse as the star was in Norfolk to spread her other dog Humphrey’s ashes on the beach he loved.

Just days before she revealed her sad loss.

And she posted about being on his favourite beach to spread his ashes.

Michelle wrote: “So we scattered Humphrey’s ashes on the beach in Norfolk #oldhunstanton he used to love it here so we ve come back with Peggy to stay with friends been coming here for years #missyou .

“@alldogsmatter #rescuedogs.”

The star’s injury could cause chaos on set – depending on what scenes Michelle is set to film.

Cindy is part of the New Year’s Day flash-forward that aired on January 1 2026, but was set in 2027.

She was one of the potential brides for Max Branning with viewers watching recently as they have begun a torrid affair – despite hating each other.
