Eagle-eyed fans spot Man Utd star awkwardly PHOTOSHOPPED into squad Christmas picture… as club reveal reason why

MANCHESTER UNITED fans have spotted something bizarre in their end of year team photoshoot.

Both United’s men’s and women’s first team squads posed for a squad photograph, with clips going out over multiple social media channels today.

The squads are sat together, with 49 people including the playing staff and coaching staff present.

Despite a mixed run of form this season, the United players appeared to be all smiles approaching the festive period.

That included Benjamin Sesko, who was stood on the back row on the left next to fellow striker Joshua Zirkzee.

But fans spotted something very peculiar about the picture when linking all the social media channels together.

That was the fact Sesko had been photoshopped on.

A video of the squad together first went out on Youtube, and in the comments section fans noticed that Sesko was missing.

One user said: “Where is Sesko?”

While another followed it up with: “Where’s Ben?”

However, there was a reasonable explanation.

In reply to the second comment, somebody said: “Sick at the time.”

Sesko later appeared in the picture both on Instagram and X.

In the comments section of the Instagram post, a fan wrote: “Nah Sesko looks edited man,” followed by a laughing face.

It appears that was indeed the case.

Sesko, who signed for United from RB Leipzig in a deal worth £74million in the summer, has struggled for form so far with just two goals in 18 appearances for the Red Devils.

But like a lot of his teammates, his season has been very much stop-start due to injury.

After missing five weeks out with a knee problem, the Slovenian came down with food poisoning – the likely reason he missed the photoshoot and had to be edited in.

United are next in action on Boxing Day against Newcastle, with kick-off at 8pm.
