Former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has sparked speculation he has split from his wife Susie Hariet after he was pictured without his wedding ring.

The actor, who was best known for playing Matthew Crawley in the period drama, is currently busy promoting his latest film Swiped alongside Lily James

And during the London premiere earlier this month, Dan was seen without his wedding ring as he sported a stylish green shirt over a white vest top and black trousers.

Meanwhile it seems he and Susie haven’t been pictured together in seven years with the pair last seen together at the party in Los Angeles in April 2018.

Susie, who is a South African-born jazz singer, does not feature on his social media.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Dan and Susie appear to be living totally separate lives. They certainly aren’t the vision of a loved-up couple.’

Daily Mail have contacted Dan’s representatives for comment.

The couple met in 2006, when they were working at adjacent theatres in Sheffield and, he says, enjoyed an ‘instant’ connection.

The couple married in 2009 and share three children, son Aubrey, 13, and daughters Willow, 16, and Eden, whose birthday is unknown.

Dan previously said in an interview that he was grateful to his wife for understanding what an actor’s life should be.

In 2011, he told The Telegraph: ‘I’m lucky to be married to someone who entirely gets what I do. She is totally sympathetic to the actor’s life.

‘Her own mother was an actress, so she sort of grew up with it. She has absolutely no concept of the British class system and, after 10 years here she’s still trying to work it out.’

Meanwhile Dan’s latest film Swiped follows the story of Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder and former CEO of dating platform Bumble and co-founder of Tinder.

The Disney+ biopic will cover the campaign Whitney helmed at Tinder after discovering misogynist behaviour on the app.

It led her to strike out on her own and found Bumble, where women could make the first move and take more control of the dating conversation.

Speaking at the premiere, Dan discussed dating apps as he said: ‘They didn’t really exist when I was a teenager or a younger man.

‘It’s pretty baffling to me to see how it’s taken over and how many niche ones there are now as well, which I’m kind of delighted by.’

Dan’s outing comes just days after Downton Abbey his former co-stars gathered to celebrate the finale after an incredible 15 years of the TV series and a trilogy of movies.

The actor will not be starring in the last movie as his character died in a car crash in the third season.
