Donald Trump is reportedly set to meet with King Charles during a visit to Windsor Castle later this year.
The US President will supposedly make the trip with his wife Melania in September to meet with the Monarch at the royal residence, the Telegraph reported.
Sources told the newspaper that no dates or details have been finalised and discussions remain ongoing.
Sir Keir Starmer and Mr Trump reportedly discussed the visit during a telephone call and are close to agreeing on a plan.
The Government is supposedly seeking to ‘reaffirm transatlantic ties’ following Mr Trump’s imposition of tariffs on the UK and other countries last month.
The US leader was invited for a meeting with the Royal Family in June, July and August, all of which he declined, the Telegraph said.
He has reportedly now signalled approval for a visit to Windsor Castle in September where he will meet with members of the Royal Family.

Charles had already invited Mr Trump for a second state visit to the UK later this year.
During a visit to the White House in February, Sir Keir extended an official invitation from the monarch to the president.
The King suggested he and Mr Trump could meet before that visit, either at Dumfries House or Balmoral, which are near the businessman’s golf courses in Scotland, to discuss the plans for the much grander state visit.
Trump made several visits to Britain in his first term, when Elizabeth II was on the throne, including a state visit.
