DONALD Trump Jr. has broken his silence after becoming engaged to the socialite Bettina Anderson.
The news was announced by Donald Trump at the White House Christmas party on Monday.
Trump Jr, 47, admitted he was lost for words as he took to the podium, addressing supporters at the festive shindig.
In a video shared by firebrand activist Laura Loomer, he thanked Bettina, 39, for saying one word – yes.
He then revealed the pair were now engaged and spoke about the moment.
“When you go down there and you’re trying to ask and you’re not sure what the answer is going to be, it’s almost a little bit rough, but she said yes, so that’s a big win for the end of the year,” he said.
It marks the third time that Trump Jr. has been engaged.
Anderson reflected on the proposal, describing the weekend as “the most unforgettable.”
She gushed over Trump Jr, describing him as the love of her life.
She said she felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
It’s not known when Trump Jr. popped the question to Anderson.
Anderson hasn’t uploaded to her Instagram grid since July 4, but she posted what could be interpreted as a cryptic message on her Stories.
She shared a post that said: “Surround yourself with people who pray for you behind your back.”
Eric Schmitt, a Republican junior senator from Missouri, posted “Congrats” as he reacted to her Story.
Trump Jr. and Anderson started dating last year.
And, the newly-engaged couple had been looking comfortable in each other’s company earlier this year.
The pair dazzled in Indian-style attire at a lavish wedding in Udaipur, India, in November.
In March, Trump Jr had his arm around Anderson as they posed for snaps at the amFAR Palm Beach gala.
The pair looked cosy as they watched Trump address a joint session to Congress.
One picture captured Anderson poking at her flame’s salt and pepper facial hair.
Trump Jr beamed as he held his phone out and the couple posed for a selfie.
Both were also in attendance when Trump posthumously awarded the Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk.
Conservative activist Kirk was assassinated at a rally in Utah in September.
Trump Jr was married to Vanessa, Kai Trump’s mom, between 2005 and 2018. Vanessa is now dating golfing legend Tiger Woods.
He and Vanessa share four other children, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
Trump Jr was in a relationship with Kimberly Guilfoyle, the current US ambassador to Greece, from 2018 until 2024.
Trump Jr and Guilfoyle announced they were engaged in 2020.
