Chelsea’s Conference League cruise continues this Thursday as they travel to Stockholm for a semi-final first leg clash against Swedish underdogs Djurgarden.
The Blues have barely broken a sweat en-route to the final four, and with the trophy in touching distance, Enzo Maresca’s men are firm favourites to lift their first silverware since 2021.

Form-wise, the Blues are building momentum.

The stats are on their side too – Chelsea have never lost to Swedish opposition in eight previous encounters (W5, D3) and have been ruthless on the road in Europe, winning all five Conference League away days with a goal difference of +11.
They’ve also advanced in 12 of their last 14 two-legged ties, usually against far stiffer opposition than the Swedes.
However, with an important Premier League clash against Liverpool looming this weekend, Maresca could be tempted to shuffle his pack and rest key names in Stockholm.
As for Djurgarden, the Allsvenskan side are already living their European fairytale.
After finishing fourth in Sweden last season, they’ve reached uncharted territory – a first-ever UEFA semi-final.
This will be their maiden clash with Premier League opposition, but they should take confidence from the fact they’ve won six of eight home games in Europe this campaign and stunned Rapid Vienna to get here.
