HOLLYWOOD superstar Rob Reiner and his wife have reportedly been found stabbed to death inside their Los Angeles home.
A homicide investigation has been launched after the suspected bodies of Reiner, 78, and his partner Michele Singer Reiner, 68, were discovered.
Police are yet to confirm the identities of the two victims but said officials found the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman in their home in Brentwood, California.
A source close to US actor and director Reiner told NBC News the couple both suffered multiple stab wounds.
They were found just after 3:30pm on Sunday afternoon.
A family member is now being questioned by investigators, a law enforcement official confirmed.
LAPD Captain Mike Bland confirmed the force are now investigating an “apparent homicide”.
Detectives from the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division have been assigned to the case.
Reiner was a huge presence in the movie industry after decades as an actor and a top director.
His top projects included The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally and This Is Spinal Tap.
