The SONY PlayStation 5 is the console every gamer wants – but price drops are few and far between.
One week before Black Friday, the PS5 range has been slashed across multiple retailers including AO, Very and Amazon, with the entry level Digital Edition falling to its lowest price ever.
In a slightly absurd Black Friday season, where we saw a wave of retailers launch sales as early as the end of October, here comes a genuinely brilliant series of gaming and console deals.
Earlier this morning, a wave of major retailers slashed prices across the PS5 console range, marking the season’s biggest savings event officially live.
Forget waiting for Black Friday weekend: the time to save is now.
If you want the cheapest entry into next-gen gaming, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (825GB) is the console to grab while you can.
At £294.99, it’s hands down the lowest price the console has ever cost, making this a must-grab deal.
You still get that iconic ultra-fast SSD, 4K gameplay, and all the flashy next-gen updates — you just skip the disc drive.
There’s also an impressive bundle deal available – you can pick up the console and EA Sports FC 26 for the same price of £294.99 (was £429).
These PlayStation deals started this morning (Friday 21st November), and will run all the way until Cyber Monday (1st December).
We’ve got the top deals on PS5 consoles and bundles listed below.

Luckily for bargain hunters, most major retailers participate in Black Friday, which is good news if you’re hunting for gaming gadgets.
Check out the following retailers:
When is Cyber Monday 2025, and are PS5 retailers taking part?
This year, Cyber Monday falls on December 1, and several major PS5 retailers are expected to participate.
There’s now very little difference between the deals you’ll find on Black Friday and those you’ll find on Cyber Monday.
It’s also a day when retailers tend to roll out the final wave of deals or further reduce prices on remaining stock.
Check out our When is Cyber Monday UK page for more information.
Will the PS5 be cheaper on Black Friday?
One week before Black Friday, prices have been dropped across a number of PS5 consoles and bundles.
Our guess, at this stage, is that prices won’t fall any further.
Price drops have already been substantial, especially on the Digital Edition console, and further reductions as we get to Black Friday is definitely wishful thinking.
But we’ll be keeping this page up-to-date with all the latest deals and discounts that we spot.
Can I play PS4 games on a PS5?
Yes, the PS5 is backwards-compatible.
According to the official PlayStation website: ”The overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 games are playable on PS5 consoles.”
So, if you are among the lucky ones who bag a PS5 this Black Friday, you’ll also have your entire collection of PS4 games to play on it.
