Dianne Buswell and Stefan Davies return to the Strictly dance floor after fans claim illness was ‘cover up’

STEFAN Dennis and Dianne Buswell returned to Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night after fans claimed his illness was a “cover up”.

The two were forced to sit out last week after he was struck with an illness.

The news was announced on Friday evening before Saturday’s show, but within hours, some Strictly fans were speculating it was a cover up for pregnant Dianne.

However, the Aussie dancer soon hit back, and Stefan’s wife Gail also spoke out in defence of the couple and the situation they had found themselves in.

Taking to Instagram, Gail revealed her husband had been rushed to hospital almost a year to the day, and that this was only the second time his health had impacted his work.

Gail shared a black and white snap of them together and wrote across it: “Get well soon darling, wish I was there to pamper you.”
