DERMOT O’Leary said This Morning ‘had to endure a lot of s**t’ as the show won big at the National Television Awards.
The long-running show claimed the Daytime gong for this year’s ceremony.
Dermot joined Ben Shepherd, Cat Deeley and Alison Hammond, among others, to accept the prestigious prize.
Speaking to press in the winners’ room, he shared: “It feels longer than 2 years since the last win!
“The team since I started have had to endure a lot of s**t but they’ve turned up to work with grace and put their heart and souls into this job.
“To endure it under the spotlight when we are on the front page of the news.

“We aren’t supposed to be on the front of the news.
“So to reclaim this it means an awful lot especially for those who have been through the mill.”
Last year, Ben and Cat were confirmed as replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The news confirmed The Sun’s exclusive announcing the fan favourites as permanent fixtures.
Dermot first joined the This Morning team to present Fridays and holidays with Alison Hammond back in 2021.
Last summer, it was revealed he and Alison – who helm Friday’s shows – would be remaining on the programme.
A source said at the time: “Viewers love Alison and Dermot so locking them in for the summer was a priority.
“Josie and Craig are great but execs couldn’t risk losing their best names when a spotlight’s on the show.
“It’s hoped a decent summer run from Ali and Dermot could get things off to a head-start when Cat and Ben return in September.”
