Project Veritas is no longer connected to James O’Keefe, who left and founded a competitor called O’Keefe Media Group, but they are still releasing new sting videos. The latest one released today features DNC Vice Chair David Hogg along with Deterrian Jones a former White House digital strategy employee.
Asked about whether the DNC was corrupt because no one knew about Biden’s mental decline, Hogg replied, “I think the fact of the matter is the DNC is always going to be a campaign arm of the president ultimately.” He continued, “The bigger issue was, like, the inner circle that was around Biden. That’s it.
“Like, Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff had an enormous amount of power.”
“Jill Biden?” the Project Veritas journalist asked.
“Jill Biden’s chief of staff,” Hogg replied.
At this point the video shows Deterrian Jones interjecting, “That was like an open secret. I would avoid him. He was scary.” He then identified Jill’s chief of staff as Anthony Bernal.
When the PV journalist said he’d never seen Anthony Bernal before, Jones replied, “Exactly. He’s just a shadowy, Wizard of Oz type figure.”
Jones said most regular people wouldn’t know his face but he emphasized, “He wielded an enormous amount of power. And I can’t stress to you how much power he had at the White House.”
The clip ends with Project Veritas promising a part two about the DNC.

This isn’t the first time that Anthony Bernal’s name has come up in reference to President Biden’s decline in office. Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s book “Original Sin,” which we’ve all written a bunch of posts about, also brought him up as the head of the loyalty police within the White House.
President Joe Biden’s aides consider first lady Jill Biden one of the most powerful first ladies in history, according to the new book, “Original Sin,” by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios political correspondent Alex Thompson.
By proxy, the first lady’s top aide, Anthony Bernal, became one of the most influential people in the White House, Tapper and Thompson said in their new book about Biden’s cognitive decline and the administration’s alleged cover-up…
“He considered loyalty to be the defining virtue and would wield that word to elevate some and oust others – at times fairly and at times not. ‘Are you a Biden person?’ he would ask West Wing aides. ‘Is so-and-so a Biden person?’ The regular interrogations led some colleagues to dub him the leader of the ‘loyalty police,’” the journalists wrote in “Original Sin.”…
Tapper and Thompson said it was difficult to find many Bernal defenders and described him as using his power to cast out “potential heretics.”
Bernal was the guy who was actually enforcing the silence about Biden’s decline and keeping people in line. He was doing that with the blessing of Jill Biden.
Jill Biden and Bernal worked in tandem, keeping score of “who was with them and against them.” The book described the first lady as “one of the chief supporters of the president’s decision to run for reelection, and one of the chief deniers of his deterioration.”
Elsewhere in the book he was described by a staffer as the Bidens’ “eyes and ears.“
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Biden and his wife, Jill, decamped to Wilmington, Delaware, along Bernal — Mrs Biden’s top aide. Once Mr Biden won the election Bernal was the only staffer who called the first lady “Jill”, and his privileged position led to some resentment among White House staff.
He was seen as a protective figure serving as “the Bidens’ eyes and ears” with a particular focus on “casting out potential heretics”. One long-time Biden aide said: “He would not be welcome at my funeral.”
Bernal wasn’t the leading figure in the “Politburo” that was taking up Biden’s slack in the White House. That would be Mike Donilon, Ron Klain or Steve Ricchetti. Still, Bernal was part of that elite group. He had near total access and the trust of Jill Biden.
Finally, I have to wonder if being part of this video is going to be the last straw for David Hogg. People at the DNC were pretty clearly already upset with him and now he’s potentially embarrassing them again. I would not be shocked if he gets canned over this. We’ll have to wait and see.
