More on Aspinall vs Gane

Aspinall’s long-overdue clash with Gane will be his first title defence since he was upgraded from interim champ in June.

He was elevated to undisputed champ after former Gane vanquisher and MMA legend Jon Jones retired from the sport.

The pride of Wigan is on the best run of his UFC career, which many thought might be over when he suffered a devastating knee injury in July 2022.

Aspinall faces Gane following a frustrating 14 months on the sidelines after his first-round demolition of Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 in Manchester.

The Frenchman boasts an impressive record since transitioning to MMA from Muay Thai in August 2018.

He has continued to hold formidable form, achieving 13 wins from 15 fights.
