Dana White left red-faced at WrestleMania 41 as he gets surprise crowd reaction

UFC President and Donald Trump ally Dana White suffered an embarrassing moment on Saturday night after being booed by fans at WrestleMania.

White, who supported Trump on his election campaign trail last year, was at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the first instalment of wrestling’s two-day showpiece.

Yet after being shown on the big screen in the arena, the 55-year-old was subjected to a hostile reception from the WWE fans in attendance.

He initially threw his arm up in the air to wave to the crowd, only to smile awkwardly at the camera and stare into the distance after being greeted with jeers.

According to reports online, White received the same reception when he was shown on the screen for a second time later in the evening.

He then watched on as WrestleMania 41 served up plenty of drama, with legendary manager Paul Heyman turning heel in the most shocking moment of night one.

White is one of Trump’s closest allies, with the president joining him at UFC 314 in Miami, Florida last weekend and several shows in the past.

Elon Musk and other members of the MAGA entourage were present for the show at Kaseya Center last Saturday, while three of Trump’s grandchildren were also in attendance.

White has been a long-time Trump supporter and has spoken at the last three Republican National Conventions.

The MMA boss, who even appeared on the Mar-A-Lago stage on election night, offered some words at a closed-door ceremony ahead of his inauguration in January.

‘I am honored to be here to celebrate President Trump’s historic victory,’ White said.

‘He didn’t just win this election. He won it in dominant fashion with record numbers of Americans from all walks of life.’

‘Not only did he win the electoral college by 86 points, but President Trump was the first Republican candidate in 20 years to win the popular vote,’ he continued.

‘He also made tremendous gains among traditional Democrat voters by increasing his support with Latin, Asian-American, black and young voters.’

Trump has enjoyed a close relationship with UFC over the years, regularly attending events and even previously bragging about saving the company.

During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in the buildup to last year’s election, he claimed he played an integral role in making UFC the multi-billion-dollar success it has become under the stewardship of White, who Trump labeled ‘the greatest guy’.

He then attended UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden in November, when multiple fighters did the ‘Trump Dance’ and champion Jon Jones even stepped out of the cage to give him his winning belt after the main event.

Trump, who has also been embraced by the likes of Conor McGregor and Colby Covington, has sparked controversy very early into his second term as president.

The 78-year-old sent the stock market violently spiraling earlier this month over his initial refusal to back down on his tariffs policy, before granting a 90-day reprieve for countries hit by higher US tariffs – except China, whose tariffs he raised to 145 percent.
