A DAD has been branded “unhinged” over the way he makes a peanut butter sandwich in a viral video described as “painful to watch”.

It all starts off innocently enough, with teo_fatherhood’s post entitled: “Toaster hack keeps one side soft for the perfect sandwich”.
To the soundtrack of Doechii’s massive pop hit Anxiety, he announced to his followers that ”a lunch lady taught me this”.
So far, so normal …
Then he puts two slices of toast in the same compartment – which, when you think about it, is a pretty neat idea as only the outer edge of each side is toasted.

But then it starts to go totally nuts as he proceeds to the next stage of his creation – the addition of peanut butter and jam from the same jar.
Instagram users were quick to comment on the post, which has received more than 25,000 likes.
One person wrote: “I trust no one that eats peanut butter and jelly from the same jar.
“Keep it separate.”
These comments were, however, quite tame compared with what came from other viewers.

Another poster was slightly more forthcoming in his views.
“I’m British and must ask,” they said.
“In the name of GOD what is that substance you brutalised your toast with?!”
Other social media users were equally perplexed.
“I really didn’t think it was possible to screw up pb&j but congrats, I guess,” another said.
“You achieved the impossible spectacularly.”
‘Painful to watch’
Another person posted: “That was painful to watch.
“I was a lunch lady for 17 years. We did not have toasters, we did not spread pb or jelly with a spoon, we did not have jelly hanging out of our sandwiches.
“A nightmare video for an actual lunch lady!!”
One social media user got straight to the point: “The spread was unhinged.”
