Dad bans son, 6, from wearing Primark underpants after finding ‘Nazi swastika’ in pattern

A DAD was left horrified after discovering what looked like a Nazi symbol printed all over his son’s Primark underpants.

Adam Tidbury bought six-year-old Vince a 10-pack of elasticated briefs from the high street giant.

But it was only when his wife Jemma, 30, was doing the washing on Tuesday that the couple noticed the monster pattern on one of the pairs of pants resembled a swastika.

Adam, 33, of Reading told The Sun: “My wife was doing the laundry and she was like, ‘come here a minute – what does this look like to you?’

“I said ‘oh my god, it looks like a Nazi symbol’ – so we checked the rest of the pants and it was part of the pattern.

“It’s not ideal.

“Our son’s six and he’s been running around with Nazi underwear on for god knows how long.

“I’m sure it wasn’t intentional – but you would have thought they’d have someone checking the designs for anything problematic or offensive before they go on sale.”

The dad-of-one checked the other nine pairs in the £4.80 pack, which are still on sale, and found no more suspicious symbols.

It comes after sports brand Adidas was forced to ban fans from buying German football kits with the number 44 on them last year over concerns the font resembled the Nazi-era SS rune.

The SS was a paramilitary force charged with implementing the genocide of millions of Jews across Europe.
